The Strollers Revisited
Pretty interesting item from BigO Update No. 393 (May 5, 2006):
SPAIN TO ISSUE MALAYSIAN ALBUM BY THE STROLLERS
No need to search any longer, a Spanish label has got hold of Malaysian band The Strollers only album, Waiting Is…, and will issue the album on CD on May 22.
It said: “Amazing album from obscure band from Malaysia The Strollers, recorded in 1973. “Waiting is…” remains as one of the best psychedelic albums ever recorded in Asia: superb musicianship, top sound & production and original songs sung in perfect english. It ranges from full-blown heavy psych with killer organ, guitar & flute to amazing UK late sixties styled pop-psych and some funkiest & proggy moments.”
BigO highly recommends this album to all music fans. It includes what we consider to be the best version of Jimmy Webb’s Do What You Gotta Do among the clutch of originals. This album has never been issued on CD before.
The label is called Underground Masters and apparently you can pre-order the CD at freakemporium.com

When an original copy of the LP was auctioned off on Ebay December last year, somebody paid USD90 for it! Go here for the bid history and pictures of the LP: popsike.com
