The Stooges Returns!
One of the main grouping of bad boys to be blamed for the birth of punk rock as it is known today has been recording a new album.
Yes, The Stooges is back after a long hiatus and several reunion shows recently. The news is however rather scary though as you know, judging from Iggy Pop’s latterday solo albums, it’s all has been pretty much downhill since the 3rd and final album Raw Power (1973). I’m crossing me fingers and hope for the best tho’.

WEIRDNESS FROM THE STOOGES
The Stooges’ first studio album since 1973 will be The Weirdness and it’s slotted for March 20. Iggy Pop told Billboard.com that being in the studio with the Asheton brothers after a three-decade hiatus rekindled some bad memories of the band’s demise. “Some of it is exciting and some of it is scary, and I don’t care to go over there,” he says. “But at the end of the day, I know these guys. I don’t know anybody else quite that way.” Among the songs on the 16-track set are Trollin’, ATM, You Can’t Have Friends, My Idea of Fun, Greedy Awful People and Free And Freaky, which features the Raconteurs’ Brendan Benson. It is presently being mastered at London’s Abbey Road Studios.
