Steamboat Party at Studio In Cheras KL
Actually I wrote a long review of the happening as soon as I got back home last night but then the computer hung up on me, and so I lost the whole article.
I’ll see if I have the semangat to write it all back on again, but at the moment here are some pictures:
view from the back of the space.
view from the front of the space. and that’s Au Sow Yee standing, explaining her method in “Performative Cinema” (will explain later lah!)
Siew Wai’s performance with a didge, with delay manipulation by Yandsen and sound control by Aziz (far left).
Aziz and Yandsen duet.
I didn’t take too many pictures but got good video footages of Yandsen’s solo sax performance and also Rahmat Haron’s run through three of his own pieces. Will try to upload them on YouTube soonest.
the food!
there were expensive lays* chips that nobody opened at all!
Au Sow Yee “performative cinema” is the same in the Ghost film i thought,
the random white light into the yellow fire burn,
So alive.
Thanks for the experience.
