i’ve trown away my crass/conlict t-shirt& pactes already…hahaha and im not surprise by their action…after all steve middle name is ‘ignorant’…apa heran..

  8. mrs ignorant says:

I think someone1s been playing around with the flyer a bit too much, the bands performing as wellas steve are conflict, flux of pink indians, zounds, the disrupters, the restarts and deviated instinct. While Crass existed outside of any mainstream the fact remains that the interest in steve performing the first album would mean that it would have to be held in asuitable size venue 2000 capacity squats just are’nt around any more. As for the price well for all those bands performing i would imagine that they get paid for other gigs they do and dont get accused of selling out whatever that is! Anarchy is a political philosophy – going to gig where the veue has toi be paid as does the sound man as does the tciket woman etc is somethin else ..welcome to 2007!

i categorize punk as an economy. A parallel and often parasitic network that makes and trades goods, cutting the services for cost from stupidity to intellectual detachment.
    welcome to hell!

  10. Joe Kidd says:

i categorise your words pijan as “cut and paste” from an I-Farm interview.

  11. Joe Kidd says:

“DIY is very important to all of us, Imean we still silk screen our shirts in our living room. But DIY means much more than the sum of what it literally stands for. It‚Äôs not just about “doing it yourself.” It is hard and perhaps even wrong to categorize punk as a musical style, fashion sense, or even as an ethic.

Many pioneering punk bands (as well as many bands today) held an ethic that most of us would categorize somewhere between confusing and repulsive.

But we can categorize punk as an economy. A parallel and often parasitic network that makes and trades goods, cutting the services for cost. The parasitic aspect of the punk economy can clearly be seen in the late shift at any Kinkos.

This economy has been a long time in the making. It is a real concrete thing that we can and should be proud of and this is a good thing to call DIY; not necessarily doing things yourself but participating in the economy of our community, for its preservation and advancement”
