BLUNT This is a new band fronted by Passionate Punk Artist Colyn formerly of Hellsister and Devildolls. BLUNT, with a concept similar to Devil Dolls are expecting to release their debut album in the middle of next year under the label Mute Entertainment. BLUNT hopes to be among the best Street Punk bands in the country, again making it big in the scene. The lineup is:- Colyn – Vocals, Abby – Keyboard, Rein – Bassist, Julian – Guitar. contact: Colyn 0123533290
DUKE is made up of ex-members of Naked Breed, Amigone and Novokane РJohn Mokriz (vocal), Noi (bass), Eugene Chin (guitar), Rueben Thomas (guitar), Arul (Drums). Arul has played in the commercial music scene for many years. The band is uncompromising about their musical policy which is why they took so long to choose the right musicians. The band maintains that their music must not be bound to what is cool and trendy but must be able to relate to the broad spectrum of human emotions. However, to the average listener the songs may range from moderate to relatively heavy. The band is planning to release their first album in the first quarter of 2006. They also have a limited release single entitled Permintaan featuring 3 songs to give listeners a feel of what’s to come. The material on the album will be divided almost evenly between English and Malay.

FERNS. Formed in 2001, Ferns (formerly known as This Body Broken) has survived a couple of line-up changes and a handful of EPs. Ferns is made up of Warren (guitar/vocals), Meng (guitar)s, Abby (keyboards), Phye Boon (bass) and Dave (drums). The band plays relatively uncomplicated guitar pop music and tries not to let silly things get in the way of a good melody. Ferns is currently recording a full-length album due out for release early next year.

SHEEN was formed on Deepavali 2005 when Rueben (guitars) and Sara (drums) were discussing music over
a glass of Jim Beam and some spicy mutton. Formerly of the band Nakedbreed, the two set out to look for other band members and finally roped in brothers Johan (vocals – plays with Duke) and Ilhan (bass), two hours and four drinks later. Sheen plays straight out rock, and chooses not to play any one type of music. All members have different musical influences. Sheen have not recorded any original tracks yet, and Awestruck on Dec 10 is their first official gig

SOFT TOUCH plays pop rock of a Quirky and Whimsical variety (Q & W), folky yet punchy with Markiza and Peter Hassan Brown doing the singing while Alex Ang provides a driving, complex beat and Wong Lip Kee plies the guitar like a latter day Hendrix. Latest addition is Alda Tan who funks it up on bass. He replaces Shahril, composer of two of the songs on the EP released earlier this year, Shelter and Lately. Highlight live songs: Wishful Thinking (soulfully sung by Markiza, a love ballad beefed up with a skar rhythm and some frantic rock in places) and Better World (with Hassan Peter on harmonica) one of five songs to be added to the EP to extend it to a full length album. “If there is any doubt that Soft Touch deserves to stand alongside Malaysian indie rock’s finest then opener Listen 2 What U C will silence the critics. Built on a searing guitar hook (courtesy of of axe slinger Wong Lip Kee), the song hits full stride straight out of gate. And with the jaunty, blues tinged Happy Sad up next, there’s no time to let the dust settle properly.” ‚Äì Edward Gomez, Galaxie Magazine.

XCITED SCREAMERS consists of Fareeq РVocals, Alel РGuitar, Dennis РGuitar, Wan РBass, Mirul РDrums. The band was founded by Fareeq in late ’99. In 2001, their recording debut was in Remedy Anthems: From Friends For Friends compilation under Hail Friends Music, which was created by Fareeq & his friends. Fareeq acts as the main songwriter with the rest of the band assisting him with arranging & composing. Basically the music is always saturated with loud guitars, up beat drum patterns & rhythmic bass lines mixed up with some rap & melodic vocal lines, which creates a new kind of groove unheard off before. They also have a few mellow & acoustic songs to soothe the ears of the listeners. Their first album called Start The Engine is now available.
etc. macam menarik je..
