Pure Evil Trio; an adaptible organic noise machine from Sydney, Australia. Melding a resolutely independent stance and social conscience with a fast-paced chaotic sound, drawing on a diverse array of influences, from hardcore punk/grind/noise to free improvisation and back again, Pure Evil Trio have spent the last 6 or so years pulverising the ears of audiences up and down the east coast of Australia, playing fests, squats, warehouses, living rooms, backyards, pubs, clubs, youth centres, halls, and a variety of punk/art/DIY festivals, also crossing the Tasman to visit New Zealand for two successful independent tours in 2005.
This shiny plastic commodity, released by Tenzenmen/Spincontrol, collects all the recordings made by the band, from the first demo tape to the debut LP “This Is Our Music” (released in 2004 by Appliances & Cars/Broken Rain), as well as the most recent recordings, entitled “The Evolution of Everyday Strife”. Also included are live tracks, covers (NoMeansNo, Born Against, DropDead) and noise collages. Something for everybody, no doubt.
